A particularly lovely large quarto / small folio comprehensive book covering the works of Cicero. Contemporary red leather over plain black boards, showing particularly attractively on the shelf as it is a very royal red colour with gilt tooling reading 'Opera Omnia; Cicero; 1850'. The text of this edition is entirely in Latin and would make a fantastic study book for the works of Cicero.

Spine with very minor superficial scratches, rubbing and marks. Both boards securely attached. Boards with few very minor scratches and rubbing. Very minor shelf and edge wear. Dulling to page edges. Frontispiece and title page lightly toned and foxed. Frontispiece lightly transferred onto title page. Text block extremely clean with light toning to edges.
