An attractive copy of the Elzevir Press edition of Claudian's Works preserved in its contemporary vellum binding, complete with its magnificent engraved title very much characteristic of the Dutch Golden Age.

Condition:
Contemporary full vellum binding, mild discolouration, but generally a well presented copy externally, binding secure with boards attached, titles in later MS ink to spine, yapp edges. No attached bookplates, rear pastedown blank has come free from the board, but is present and not loose. Text block mildly toned, some spotting, but generally a superior, bright and clean copy.
