Full brown calf binding with gilt initials "L R" to the both boards.  Binding rubbed and scuffed with a small tear to the bottom of the backstrip causing that part to be partially detached from the page block. Tailcap cracked with fragments lacking and partially detached. Very minor wormholing to the rear board. Both boards attached with wear to joints, front hinge cracked, and rear hinge starting. Shelf and edge wear with small fragments of leather lacking. Corners turned-in. Page edges dulled and toned. Text block fairly clean with light toning, very sporadic foxing, and with some marks/stains and damp-staining. Front pastedown mostly detached and with fragments lacking and an ink inscription to the reverso. Front blank partially attached to the front pastedown and with small fragments lacking. Small piece of paper attached to the bottom of the front blank with very some holes. Frontispiece creased with tears to the hinge, thus partially detached; frontis trimmed more than other leaves. Title page lightly creased at the top left corner, with tears to the hinge, and with very small edge tears with small loss to the bottom right corner. Very small tears and some worm-holing at the bottom right corner to the first few leaves of the text block. Very small worm-holing to a large number of leaves in the margins, not affecting most text, some text affected near the rear, and becoming more prominent at the rear.
