Full brown calf bindings with red tooled labels in compartments to the spines between raised bands. Some tooled and blind-stamped boards to all boards, though faint and dulled. Bindings rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints, and some joints and hinges cracked or starting. Tooled labels lightly peeling at edges, and the tooled label of volume two with minor loss. Two pieces of leather on the front and rear board of volume one have previously peeled and have been reattached. Shelf and edge wear. Corners turned-in. Page edges dulled. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text blocks very clean with light toning, occasional foxing, and occasional damp-staining to edges of leaves. Lacking front pastedown in volume one. Ink stains to the reverso of the front blank in volume one. Lacking front pastedown from volume two. Very small wormholing to the rear blank and rear pastedown in volume two. Title page and last few leaves in volume two creased. Title page in volume three with loss. Front blank in volume three lacking.
