Volumes two to six only, lacking volume one, but very well presented in contemporary full calf bindings. An excellent example of what is a rather scarce set, despite the lacking first volume.

Full brown calf with tooled labels to spines and gilt decorative tooling. Lacking the tooled label of volume six. Bindings lightly rubbed and damp stained. All boards securely attached with rubbing along joints, some hinges starting. Shelf and edge wear with some corners turned-in. Page edges toned. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions. Text blocks extremely clean with very sporadic foxing. Tear with loss to the bottom corner of pp.323 in volume two, remaining easily legible. Wormholing to the top inner part of volume six, affecting the first few leaves, and wormholing to the top inner corner from pp.263 to the rear pastedown, affecting some text and legibility, primarily from pp.337 to the rear pastedown.
