Contemporary half calf over marbled paper backed boards, rubbed, title labels lacking or chipped. Both boards of volume 4 detached, front board of second volume partially detached. Shelf wear.
Textually collates as complete through each volume, large foldout map present, here bound into volume one. Front endpaper of volume one detached and in half but extant. Extensive foxing throughout the text of each volume but with the text fully legible throughout. Bookplate of D.A. King to some of the front pastedowns.
