Full brown calf binding with blind-stamped boards. Spine prominently rubbed and worn. Binding rubbed and scuffed with some scratches, small hole to the leather of the front board, and some leather fragments lacking from the rear board. Shelf and edge wear. Front board detached. Rear board attached with cracked joint and hinge starting, thus fragile. Red page edges dulled. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Endpapers foxed with edge toning. Ink inscription to front and rear blank. Very small hole to the front blank. Pencil inscription to front blank. Text block very clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing. One illustrated plate only, some copies are known to contain two.
