Full brown calf bindings over spotted paper backed boards with red and black tooled labels in compartments to the spines between raised bands. Bindings rubbed and scuffed, more so to spines, and with a small part of the backstrip lacking from the head of volume one. All boards attached with wear, some cracked or starting, thus some boards are fragile. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges dulled. Shelf lean. Bookplate attached to front pastedown in all volumes. Bookplate attached to the reverso of the front blank in all volumes. Ink inscription to the head of the title page. Text blocks very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Pp.419-422 detached in volume three.
