An edition revised beyond the others and more complete; furthermore, enriched with very extensive indexes of notable subjects and passages of Sacred Scripture. Full brown calf with a black tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands. Binding worn, with rubbing and scuffing, a crack to the leather to the head of the spine, and the leather lifting at the foot of the spine. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints, and minor wear to hinges. The head of the spine has been rebacked, thus overlapping the leather of the boards partially, the replacement leather is a very good match. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges dulled. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Ownership stamps to front pastedown and title page. Small ink stains to the tops of the last few leaves. Text block very clean with light toning and sporadic foxing. Rather than page numbering, column numbering is present here.
