Half green calf over marbled paper backed boards with gilt titles in compartments to the spines between raised bands and some decorative gilt in other compartments. Bindings lightly rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints and minor wear to hinges. Shelf and edge wear. Page edges lightly toned with top edges gilt. Binder's sticker to front pastedowns. Pencil inscription of "T.4." to front blanks in all volumes. Pencil ownership inscription of N (or R) Dickinson to the front blank in volumes 11 and 12. Rubbed out pencil inscription which is partially visible in some volumes of E. Pearson (?). Text blocks very clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Some leaf edges unevenly trimmed. Slight dampstaining to the top inner corner of the title page and frontispiece in volume two.
