VERY RARE! This edition does not appear in any catalogue, and is not held institutionally anywhere worldwide. We searched the Elzevir bibliography for this edition but it was not listed. It is potentially the first Elzevir edition of Virgil.

Full vellum with fainted black ink title to spine and front board. Binding with some scuffing and marks. Boards attached with cracked hinges. Some shelf and edge wear with boards somewhat turned-in. Front blank and engraved title page attached to an original blank detached. Text block with some toning, occasional foxing, and inscriptions in the margins. Ink ownership inscription to the head of the blank with the re-attached title page. Small leaf repair to A8, does not appear to cover any text. Text block cracked at the head to the middle of the text block, but all leaves remain attached, par from the aforementioned leaves. Rear blank lacking. Ink ownership inscription upside down to the rear blank which has somewhat transferred onto the rear pastedown opposite.
