Full brown calf with decorative gilt border to the boards and floral decorative gilt in compartments to the spines. Tooled labels lacking. Bindings rubbed and scuffed. Shelf and edge wear. All boards attached with rubbing along joints, some joints and hinges cracked. Some headcaps lacking. Red page edges somewhat dulled. Text blocks fairly clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Contemporary marginalia. Very small bookplate attached to the top corner of the front pastedown in volume one.
