A very large antique edition of Shakespeare's works including a memoir and essays on Shakespeare. This edition is colloquially known as the Meadows edition for the abundant illustrations throughout the six volumes by Kenny Meadows and T.H. Nicholson.

Each of the six volumes, here uniformly bound into three half calf leather bindings with gilt tooling to the spines, are collated as complete. Wear to the spines with some loss to the leather and a bit of loss to the gilt titles. Joints fine without fault with all boards securely attached. Extremely minor shelf lean but generally unnoticeable. Shelf wear. Page edges near fine. Internally near fine, very clean throughout.
