Half brown morocco over marbled paper backed boards with gilt titles to spines, some dulled. Bindings rubbed and scuffed. All boards attached with rubbing along joints, some joints and hinges cracked or starting. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges dulled, with some occasional marks. Remnants of a binder/bookseller's sticker attached to the front blank in volume one. Text blocks fairly clean with light toning and some foxing. Plates are uncollated. Small hole caused by dampstaining (?) to pp.421-423 in volume two. Some dampstaining. Top part of the volume nine backstrip partially detached. Lacking volume ten, volumes one through nine only.
