Size: 130 x 195 mm (approx.)

Condition:

[viii, pp.9-[254]]

Original publisher's black cloth binding, Gilbert's binding B with the titles lettered in silver. A little faded with some offset sunning to the front board. A little rubbed with some bumps to the extremities and minor losses at corners. Joints slightly worn but with both boards securely attached with the binding secure and without shelf lean. Extremely slightly cocked but practically unnoticeable. Internally fine without any ownership inscriptions, bookplates, or writing throughout.

First state dust jacket. Spine panel toned as typical with minor losses at head and foot. Hinges rubbed at each section generally without loss except occasionally at the head/foot as typical. Front and rear panels show very nicely indeed. Not price clipped. Flaps VG+ with a small band of toning at the head as typical and otherwise light toning. Verso of dust jacket mildly toned, more so at extremities and spine panel, with a very light dampstain affecting the spine panel and edges of front/rear panels.

Overall a very nice example of this scarce first edition.
