Contemporary quarter calf over cloth backed boards. A library binding with the shelf reference in gilt to the foot of the spine. Spine uniformly sunned and rubbed. Minor shelf and edge wear. Both boards securely attached. Slight shelf lean but remains vertically stable on the shelf. Minor discolouration to page edges. Ex-library bookplate to front pastedown with a small library pouch also attached. Ex-library stamp to the end of the text block, the verso of the frontis, and a larger one to the verso of the title page, also with a withdrawn stamp. Generally clean throughout the text block, mildly toned, all text without loss of sense. Small pink stain to pp.26, not obscuring legibility of text.
