Full brown calf, rebacked, with a tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with blindstamping. Both boards securely attached with reinforced hinges. Binding rubbed and scuffed. Shelf and edge wear. Red spotted page edges dulled. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather binding. Bookplate to front pastedown. Pencil gift inscription to front blank. Text block fairly clean with light toning and occasional foxing. Lacking frontispiece which is called for in the WorldCat copy.
