This is a collation of all important historical events up to this time, including both solar & lunar eclipses. It's a very important work, especially for early attestations to historical events, particularly ancient & Biblical events.

This copy is easily the best obtainable copy, in a beautiful contemporary fine binding in remarkable condition.

Full brown spotted calf  with a red tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with decorative gilt tooling. Label slightly cracked with small fragment lacking. Binding lightly scuffed and with a faint indent line to the rear board. Both boards attached with the front joint cracked, hinges starting, and rear joint rubbed, thus somewhat fragile. Shelf and edge wea with corners lightly turned-in. Red page edges dulled. Armorial bookplate attached to the front pastedown. Edge toning to endpapers as commensurate with the full leather binding. Pencil inscription to front blank. Text block extremely clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing.
