Size: 12.5 x 19.5 cm (approx., each)

Condition:

Spines with some minor discolouration and rubbing with some loss to gilt, but generally remain very attractive, retaining all tooled green morocco labels. Joints all fine with all boards securely attached, all bindings firm. Boards all near fine, rarely without any scuffs to the marbled boards which are in excellent condition. Top page edges uniformly dulled as typical. Contemporary endpapers/pastedowns. Without any significant shelf or edge wear. No attached bookplates, but with a presentation inscription to front blank of each volume in very nice handwriting dated October 1916, and a probably late 19th century stamp of the Cambridge Training Library. Bound without the advertisements else collated as complete.

A truly excellent example of this rare first edition of one of Charlotte Bronte's best works.
