FIRST EDITION FIRST IMPRESSION of A.A. Milne's classic work in its original green cloth binding with a slightly later dust jacket in very nice condition.

Condition:
Very minor scuffing on spine only visible upon close inspection. Wear to the head and bottom of the spine. Both boards securely attached. Boards with very minor scuffing and superficial scratches. Three very small marks on the rear board. Shelf and edge wear. Some shelf lean. Wear to corners. Toning and foxing on page edges. Line of toning on the inner side of ffep, and on the rear side of the page facing the rear endpaper as commensurate with a book published with a dust jacket. Very minor foxing on pastedown and endpapers. Top part of preliminary and half title cut out (see photos), presumably to remove an ownership inscription. Very small and light damp stain to leaves, title page to page x. Text block extremely clean with very sporadic very minor foxing. Uncollated.
Dust jacket in very good condition. Very minor creasing and tears to top edge. Light line of toning to the top and bottom edges of dust jacket. Bookseller sticker attached to the front fold-in part of the dust jacket. Very minor foxing on the outside part of the dust jacket. Spine prominently sunned / toned. Lines of sunning on front sides of dust jacket near to spine. Two scratches on the front side of the dust jacket.
