Full brown calf binding with a gilt prize inscription to the front board, and with a red tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartment with decorative gilt. Binding lightly rubbed and scuffed with a few minor scratches. Both boards attached with rubbing along joints, hinges starting. Shelf and edge wear. Marbled page edges somewhat dulled, top edge darkened as often. No attached bookplates. Ink ownership inscription to front blank. Text block extremely clean with light edge toning and occasional foxing.
